Hair Extensions Aftercare Guide

Get the most out of your new hair extensions and how you can keep them at their very best for as long as possible

• Always use a sulphate-free shampoo to maintain the quality and longevity of your human hair extensions
• Wash hair gently in a downward motion – do not rub or twist
• Use a moisturising conditioner on mid-lengths and ends only. Avoid applying conditioner to bonds, tapes or roots
• Part dry with a towel – do not rub vigorously
• Allow hair to air day where possible. If using heat tools, always apply a heat protectant
• Use low to medium heat settings on styling tools
• Brush hair gently using a soft bristle or extension brush, starting from the ends and working upwards
• Avoid sleeping with wet hair. Tie hair loosely in a braid or ponytail before bed to prevent tangling
• Avoid excessive product build-up, especially near attachments points
• When swimming, tie hair up and rinse immediately after exposure to chlorine or salt water
